Swati Mangalam

Clinical Psychologist

Some of my interests
CBT Schema Therapy Anxiety (General, Social, Phobias, OCD, Panic) Mood Disorders (Depression, Bipolar) Relationship difficulties Neurodivergent affirming practice See all

I provide individual therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges that impact their wellbeing. My particular areas of interest include depression, anxiety and phobias, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Additionally, I can provide a preliminary impression on ADHD and make recommendations for further assessment.

I value taking a client-centred, neuroaffirming, and culturally sensitive approach with a focus on helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves by increasing awareness of behavioural and emotional patterns, internal processes, and early experiences that may be contributing to their current challenges.

By building a strong therapeutic alliance, I aim to support and empower clients to navigate difficulties, strengthen relationships, and live more meaningful lives.

I tailor my therapeutic style to each individual’s needs, drawing on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.

In addition to English, I also offer therapy in Malayalam.

Swati consults from our Fitzroy North clinic.

Swati strives to support and empower clients to face challenges, improve relationships, and lead meaningful lives
