Registered Psychologist

Jess primarily works with adolescents and adults and has experience working with trauma, anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, stress management, life transitions and relationship difficulties.

Jess has experience and a particular interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, including supporting people through exploring gender diversity and gender transition, and working with families with trans and gender diverse children and adolescents.

Jess has also worked extensively with autistic adolescents, and is passionate about providing a safe therapy space that respects and celebrates all neurotypes.

Jess uses a range of treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, attachment-based, somatic, and mindfulness frameworks.

Jess provides Autism assessments for adults (18 years+) at our Alphington clinic or via Telehealth.

She works with a neurodiversity affirming and trauma informed lens, and is particularly interested in collaborating with women and the trans and gender diverse community who are looking to explore their neurotypes. The assessment process involves completing a range of questionnaires before sharing your experiences using the neuro-affirming MIGDAS-2. The assessment process takes between 3-4 hours and can be structured according to your preference (e.g. 1 x 3 hour, or 3 x 1 hour appointments).

Using systemic understanding and a social justice approach, Jess works from an intersectional, affirming, trauma-informed framework, striving to create a safe and welcoming space for all identities, neurotypes, genders, and bodies.

Important: Jess does not conduct ADHD assessments but can make recommendations for further assessment as required. Jess’ autism assessment reports are for diagnostic identification only (i.e.., answers the question ‘Am I autistic?’) and are not suitable for NDIS applications.

Jess consults from both Alphington and Fitzroy North.

Jess works with a neurodiversity affirming and trauma informed lens, and is particularly interested in collaborating with women and the trans and gender diverse community who are looking to explore their neurotypes.
