Clare is a fully registered psychologist who uses a strengths-based, client centred, collaborative approach in her work with adults. She believes in the importance of creating a caring, supportive and non-judgemental environment when assisting clients to create change. Clare’s personal values of optimism, openness and authenticity inform her work which is focused on helping clients make the most of setbacks and adversity to achieve richer, fuller and more meaningful lives. Clare is LGBTIQ aware and affirmative.
Clare supports adults who are experiencing generalised anxiety, worry and perfectionism, depression, social anxiety, panic attacks, body image issues, trauma, relationship issues, stress, difficulties with managing intense emotions, self-esteem, confidence and self-acceptance, anger management and grief, loss and bereavement.
Clare has worked with both adults and young people in outpatient hospital settings, schools, forensic settings and non-for profit community organisations. She has experience in conducting clinical cognitive and psychosocial assessments, as well as the development and delivery of individual and group interventions for young people.
