Some of my interests
Schema Therapy Gottman Couples Therapy Anxiety (General, Social, Phobias, OCD, Panic) Mood Disorders (Depression, Bipolar) Perimenopause & Menopause support See all

I particularly enjoy working with clients who are stuck in repetitive life patterns or who are navigating life transitions such as moving from school to university, adjusting to parenthood or retirement, relationship breakdowns (whether individually or as couples), and other significant changes in life circumstances. I also have a strong interest in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, helping them manage the psychological, cognitive, and emotional changes that can arise during this time.

My approach involves gaining a deep understanding of the factors contributing to your current situation, and working collaboratively with you to set meaningful therapy goals and determine the best treatment approach.

I draw on a variety of therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion and Gottman Couples Therapy.

My experience spans community health, not-for-profit, tertiary education, and private sectors, where I’ve worked as a clinician, clinical supervisor, senior manager, and educator.

Laura consults from our Alphington clinic.

Laura is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who has many years experience working with adults with a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, postnatal depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss and grief and workplace issues.
