Jess Murphy

Jess primarily works with adolescents and adults and has experience working with trauma, anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, stress management, life transitions and relationship difficulties.

Jess has experience and a particular interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, including supporting people through exploring gender diversity and gender transition, and working with families with trans and gender diverse children and adolescents.

Jess has also worked extensively with autistic adolescents, and is passionate about providing a safe therapy space that respects and celebrates neurodivergence.

Jess uses a range of treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, attachment-based, somatic, and mindfulness frameworks.

Jess’s approach is trauma-informed, intersectional, culturally responsive, holistic and collaborative.

Jess consults from our Alphington clinic.
