For referrers

At Birch Psychology, we seek to work collaboratively with our referrers.

We build a shared understanding of your patients’ treatment needs and progress, to assist in the management of their mental health and overall wellbeing.

We are happy to meet with you to discuss your patients and general referral needs.

Our approach

All members of the Birch team have a number of years’ experience working within private practice, and recognise the importance of maintaining open and regular communication with referrers.

All psychologists at Birch conduct a thorough clinical assessment prior to determining a diagnosis and formulation, and developing, together with the patient, the best approach to meeting their goals.

We will discuss with you if we think additional psychiatric or other specialist support may be of benefit.

Our patients

Psychologists at Birch all use evidence-based treatments (see practitioner profiles for information about our training).  We treat adolescents, young adults, and older adults experiencing acute and chronic mental health issues. We support gender diversity.

Psychologists at Birch maintain open communication with patients in order to best monitor progress and address any changing circumstances.

We pride ourselves on our positive engagement with patients – many return across different periods of their life, when support is needed most.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us any time, as we welcome any opportunity to discuss the treatment of current and future patients. We also welcome and appreciate honest feedback and suggestions for improvement from our referrers.
