Dr Jessica Wong

Jess is a warm, friendly and compassionate psychologist who aims to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients. Jess works collaboratively with adults and young people experiencing issues such as low mood and depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, and adjustment issues. She also assists people experiencing work-life balance difficulties, sleep problems, physical health conditions (chronic and acute) and relationship problems.
Jess completed her Doctorate of Health Psychology in 2010 and after working for over 12 years decided to return to study to complete her Master of Clinical Psychology (Post-Registration). Jess has a keen interest in the relationship between physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing.
She has over 14 years’ experience as a registered psychologist working in public and private hospitals, the education system and private practice.
Jess offers a flexible combination of approaches when working with her clients, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness. Jess’ approach to therapy is collaborative and client centred. She provides a non-judgemental space for her clients to explore, reflect and work through difficulties so that they can focus on creating meaningful relationships and lead healthy lives.
Jess consults from our Alphington clinic.
